Programs

At Whispering Wishes Foundation, we work to make quality healthcare accessible where it’s needed most. Our initiatives combine community outreach with innovative digital solutions, ensuring that people in underserved areas receive timely medical attention, preventive care, and the confidence to take charge of their health.

Integrated Rural Digi-Physical Healthcare Services (IRDHS)

The Integrated Rural Digi-Physical Healthcare Services (IRDHS) model, addresses the critical need for accessible and high-quality primary healthcare in rural India, particularly benefiting women, children, and the elderly. This model leverages a combination of physical clinics and mobile units to bring essential healthcare services closer to the homes of underserved populations. The IRDHS program, having provided around one million doctor consultations across rural geographies, demonstrates commitment to bridging healthcare access gaps through innovative, tech-enabled solutions.

Health Camps with Digital Online Consultations and AI Based Screenings

Whispering Wishes Foundation connects rural communities to doctors through digital care. In many parts of India, reaching a doctor can still mean traveling miles or spending a day’s wages. Our Health Camps with Digital Consultations program changes that. Moreover, we are also empowering women through early detection and awareness on breast cancer. Early detection can mean the difference between treatment and tragedy, yet countless women in rural India remain unaware or unable to get screened. Our AI-Based Cancer Screening Program bridges this critical gap.

Providing Accessible Healthcare via Clinic on Two Wheels

The Clinic-on-Two-Wheels (CoTW) is a mobile healthcare model designed to reach villages where fixed health facilities are limited or hard to access. Functioning as an extension of the Digital Health Centre (DHC), each CoTW unit serves a cluster of surrounding villages along a defined route, ensuring regular and predictable healthcare access.

Digital Healthcare Centres in Aspirational Districts and Remote Areas

The Digital Health Centre (DHC) is a fixed, community-based clinic designed to provide consistent and reliable healthcare access in rural and underserved areas. Unlike periodic camps, DHCs operate as stable healthcare hubs, ensuring that communities have a place to seek care, advice, and follow-up throughout the year.

Health, Hygiene & Mental Health Awareness Programs – Building knowledge, habits & healthier communities

At Whispering Wishes Foundation, we recognise that healthcare access alone is not enough. Lasting health outcomes depend on awareness, informed choices, and everyday practices. Our Health & Hygiene Awareness Programs focus on strengthening knowledge at the community level — particularly among adolescents and frontline health workers — so that prevention, early care, and wellbeing become part of daily life.

Swasthya Mitras – Frontline Community Health Workers

At the heart of Whispering Wishes Foundation’s community health model are Swasthya Mitras (SMs) — locally based community health workers who act as the first point of contact for healthcare within a village. Each Swasthya Mitra is trained in basic healthcare services and digital teleconsultation and is typically assigned to one village. With a minimum qualification of 10+2, they are equipped to support residents with everyday health needs between scheduled health camps or mobile clinic visits.
